Bring on 2012!

The biggest party of the year is just a few short days away...have your outfit planned yet? If not, don't worry there's always overnight shipping! Shopbop is currently offering free overnight shipping today only, just in time for new year's eve. Here's some ideas to get you started.

Dress Up:
Look to dresses made of silk. Even if they are overly embellished with sequins and/or beads, the loose fit will allow you to be comfortable, while still looking gorgeous, all through the night.
1. Anna Sui  2. Parker  3. Marchesa

Jewels:
One of my favorite jewelry designers, Dannijo, makes the perfect statement jewelry. Even if you're not ready for over-the-top jewels, they have more subtle yet beautiful pieces that can dress up any outfit.

Party Pumps:
Depending on how over the top your dress it, you could opt for either statement or subtle. I'm a shoe fanatic and I'm pretty sure there is not one plain-jane shoe in my possession. One of my favorites is the YSL Tribute pump (shown in pale gold). For those who can't sport 5inch heels all night, bring a back up pair of glittery flats (my favorite, the glitter Tory Burch Reva's, currently on sale: here.)
1. YSL Tribute  2. Miu Miu (unless you're a lucky one who scored a pair, these beauties are sold out) 3. Alexander McQueen

Stay Warm:
No Snow on New Years! But, you might wanna stay warm, especially if you're making the rounds at different parties or watching the ball drop in NYC (like I am). There's no need to wear an oversized London Fog trench to keep warm. You can find a fur (or faux fur) piece in any style and/or color. These are some of my favorites (I will be wearing the E&J goat hair coat on nye).
1. E&J (now on sale!)  2. By Malene Birger  3. Alice by Temperley

Add Some Sparkle:
Who doesn't love glitter! NYE is the perfect occasion to add as much glitter as you can handle.

ps, If you're travelling, be sure to wrap embellished shoes, dresses, jackets, etc. in either a garment bag or in plastic. I constantly save my dry cleaning bags for these situations because they're nice and thin, perfect for packing in a weekend bag.
